Simple and honest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026. This is a small browser game, and this policy is kept just as simple.

What this game stores

The game saves one thing on your device: your best score. It is kept in your browser's local storage, under the key “2048-best”, so your record is still there the next time you open the game on the same device and browser.

Your game board, current score and move history exist only in the page while you play. They are never saved anywhere and disappear when you close or refresh the page.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no sign-ins. We do not ask for or store your name, email address, location, or any other personal information.

Your gameplay itself is never sent to us — all the game logic runs entirely in your browser.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

To learn more about how Google uses data, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How to erase your data

Because your best score lives only in your browser, you can erase it at any time: clear your browser's site data or local storage for this site, or delete the “2048-best” entry directly. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings to remove advertising cookies.

Third-party services

Apart from Google AdSense described above, the game does not share data with third-party services. Google's handling of data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever adds features that involve collecting data, this policy will be updated before those features go live. The date below always reflects the latest version.
